To prepare rice rolls, a sheet of MIMASA nori seaweed is spread out on the flat mat. At one end of this sheet of nori and across its width, a layer about two centimeters thick of rice is placed on its own or mixed with chopped vegetables.
With the mat the rice is rolled with the seaweed. Giving the seaweed a couple of turns, the result is a long roll of rice with MIMASA nori, which is then cut into sections two or three centimeters wide,and they are served decoratively arranged on a plate.
MIMASA rice roll mat can also be used as a placemat to protect the table or to cover and protect food.
It is manufactured with bamboo and cotton cords.
