Shibumi Japanese Tableware Collection
The origin of the Shibumi japanese Tableware Collection
A handmade collection of 7 pieces of exclusive tableware made with black manganese clay. A creation with the stamp of the ceramist Marta Postico and inspired by the Asian world.
The Japanese inspiration for this tableware begins with the union of Mimasa Ifigen with oriental / Asian philosophy and medicine: its lines and veins have been created based on suribachi, the Japanese mortar. And the clay base material recreates that connection with nature and our vital essence.
The name of our ceramic collection: Shibumi, is the union of our world of conscious eating Mimasa Ifigen, with our Asian essence and the pillar of our way of understanding the world, simplicity.
Shibumi comes from Japanese, a concept with which they call the elegance of simplicity. A definition that is, without doubt, what we want to capture in this new 7-piece tableware collection.
Thus, we have designed these pieces: plates, bowls, tray and chopsticks, based on our products such as udon noodles or nori seaweed, to create recipes such as Miso Soups, Ramen or Sushi.
Each of the pieces in this collection, precisely because of its manual and artisanal process, are not 100% the same among them, and that is what makes it a very special collection.
