MILLET BIO 500g
Within cereals, millet stands out for its high energy, iron and magnesium content, offering numerous preparation possibilities.
Millet is the fruit of the gramineous plant of the group of cereals known by the name of Panicum miliaceum. It is the richest cereal in iron and a good alternative to rice or pasta. A consumption of 60 grams of millet provides 40% of the daily needs for iron and 30% of those for magnesium. It also contains other minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc and manganese. It should be noted that MIMASA's organic millet has not been genetically modified.

Millet is a very energetic cereal, with more than 65% carbohydrate content. This makes it ideal as part of the diet of children and adults, for breakfast or to integrate it into the diet prior to a sports day or an excursion. It contains 11% protein and stands out for its contribution of vitamins B1, B2 and B9. It is a very digestive cereal and does not produce flatulence. Finally, it does not contain gluten, so it is a cereal that celiacs can take.
Millet proteins are made up of amino acids such as aspartic acid, glutamic acid, alanine, arginine, cystine, phenylalanine, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, proline, serine, tyrosine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. These amino acids combine to form the proteins in millet.
Our body uses the proteins in millet to build the tissues that make up our muscles. These proteins are also useful and necessary to maintain our muscles, since without an adequate supply of proteins such as those provided by millet, our muscle mass would weaken and gradually reduce.
The consumption of millet is recommended in cases of physical weakness, fatigue, anemia, asthenia, lack of mood and heavy periods. It is also very useful for pregnant or lactating women. It promotes cell regeneration, being excellent for strengthening the health of the skin, hair, nails and teeth thanks to its high content of silicic acid. It also nourishes the brain due to its richness in magnesium and lecithin, and is considered the most suitable cereal for the pancreas and spleen.
Due to its high magnesium content, it is considered a very appropriate cereal for athletes, who lose many minerals with sweat. It is recommended to combat exhaustion and allow recovery after physical exertion, relieves muscle cramps and strengthens muscles. It is equally effective to defend against stress and nervous irritability, to reduce the intensity and frequency of migraine attacks, and as a support in slimming regimens.
After washing under the tap, boil it between 20 and 30 minutes.
It is prepared in a proportion of 1 part of MIJO and 3 of liquid (this can be water or a vegetable milk, such as the BONSOY MIMASA drink).
Grated apple and carrot can also be added to achieve a honeyed texture.
